Ponds are becoming very popular in all parts of the world. One of the reasons for this is that they are so versatile and beautiful. There are so many types of ponds you can create; fountain ponds, koi ponds and lily ponds, just to name a few. One of the fun things you can add to your pond is pond statuary. Statues add fun and beauty to any pond. Not only that, pond statuary can really help you be more creative in the design of your pond.

If you are looking for statues there are many designs, materials and sizes to choose from. It is a good idea to know what you are looking for, before you go shopping, otherwise it can just become overwhelming. Ask yourself what the purpose of the statue is. For example, do you want a waterfall, fountain, birdbath or just simply a decoration? Do you want to grow plants in it, will it sit in the water, do you want it to go along with a current them that you have in your pond? These are just some of the questions you can ask yourself that will narrow down the search.

Some of the pond statuary styles that are available are bird bath fountains, wall fountains, solar fountains and rustic type of styles like barrel fountains. Water fall statuary is very popular because it adds a gentle water sound.
Solar fountains are used for water fall fountains when you do not want to run electric lines. The solar panel is placed in a location where the sun will hit it and the solar energy will operate the water fall. An adorable design for a solar fountain is the lily pad design. This sits in our pond and looks like a lily pad, but the pad has a solar panel in it.

There is also statuary the can be hung on walls. This can be especially beautiful in an early European style or Italian style. Wall statuary can be for decorative purposes only, but they are also available with fountains.
